What Is PTSD? Diagnosis, Treatment, and Challenges

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can occur when someone experiences a scary event or serious injury. This affect multiple parts of person’s life, from relationships with loved ones to performance at work. Unfortunately, PTSD is not understood well. It considered an invisible disability, which means it be difficult determine if has just by looking them, since they have no visible symptoms. Because the difficulty diagnosing PTSD, healthcare professionals are working toward checklists that used all doctors for diagnosis and treatment, will hopefully improve care patients. Similarly, disability activists continue raise awareness educate public on PTSD. In this article, we discuss causes its effects daily diagnosis, importance showing kindness people disability.
